8J1YDXCの開局

いつも横浜ＤＸクラブのホームページにアクセスしていただきまして、ありがとうございます。
１９６９年創立の横浜ＤＸクラブはかねてより横浜開港１５０周年および横浜ＤＸクラブ創立４０周年を記念する記念
局の開設準備を進めてまいりましたが、２００９年１２月３日付で社団局８Ｊ１ＹＤＸＣの免許を受けることができました。
これは日本近代化の緒を開いた横浜と、戦後日本のアマチュアＤＸ通信の発展過程で海外ＤＸペディションの先駆けを
果たしたことを初めとする横浜ＤＸクラブの先進的なイメージが重なることで横浜市のご支援をいただいた賜物と感謝
しております。

免許の有効期限である２０１０年９月末日まで、８Ｊ１ＹＤＸＣのアクティブな運用によって横浜ＤＸクラブのミッションである「ＤＸ通信活動を通じてアマチュア無線の理解を深め、アマチュア無線の健全な普及、発展に貢献する」と共に

Thank you for your visit to Yokohama DX Club web-site.

It is my greatest honor to announce the opening of club station 8J1YDXC. This special call sign has been granted to Yokohama DX Club founded in 1969 to commemorate 150th anniversary of the Port of Yokohama and 40th anniversary of Yokohama DX Club. I would like to express my sincerest thanks to the City of Yokohama for their support to obtain this license.

During the license period of December 3rd, 2009 through to September 30th, 2010, we will operate 8J1YDXC very actively not only to practice our club’s mission “to promote popularity of amateur radio through DX communication”, but also to enhance the image of the World Port City of Yokohama.

Please join us to celebrate 150th anniversary of the Port of Yokohama and 40th anniversary of
Yokohama DX Club by the QSO with 8J1YDXC. We always welcome your call!

The YDXC award is issued to any licensed hams/SWLs that acquired 9points or more.

• A contact with a YDXC member counts 3 points.(Members List Here)
• A contact with the station located in Yokohama city(non member) counts 1 point.

All contacts should be confirmed by QSL cards.

Fee: 3 IRCs or U.S. $5
*If you have more than 30 points, the award will be free.

All contacts should be made after 1 January 2001.

My name is Takahiro Yoshizawa of JA1FDU and I have been appointed as the chairman from April 2024.
By the time YDXC was established, I had obtained a 500 watt license and was passionate about DX hunting with 14Mc, and was very active.When YDXC was established, I was recommended to the vice chairman and was unable to decline, so I supported the chairman for a while. I decided to do it.
After the 50th anniversary event ended last year, I would like to take a moment to look back on the past. (Titles will be omitted)

YDXC held a DXpedition to Chuuk Island in Micronesia as a 50th anniversary event that had been postponed in October last year, and operated V6Y (for WW DX SSB CONTEST) and his V6SX.
DXPeditions to the island were carried out in 1973 and 1974, several years after the club was established, and last year, 50 years later, it was carried out again.
Two stations, JH1ECG and JH1JGX, who participated in 1973 and 1974, also participated in this DXpedition, and both have played a central role in club management from the preparatory stage of YDXC’s establishment to the present, and are the biggest team for YDXC. He is a person of meritorious service.
Both members created a website, started on-air meetings, created awards, created YDXC flags, created unified QSL cards, created polo shirts, T-shirts, hats, name badges, and many other goods, and were involved in the club’s activities. It gave me vitality.

YDXC has recorded events since its establishment and has saved them as a database on our website, but here are some of the most memorable events.
The Prince Hotel, located on a hill in Isogo, held a beer meeting to watch the Las Vegas show, and I think the DX Convention Yokohama held in 1975 was a great event at the time and a great success.
Each member divided their roles and worked hard, but JH1ECG, JH1JGX, and JA1UQP were particularly active in the preliminary preparations.
And I don’t think this event would have been possible without the Yokohama Sogo Ham Center and its owner, JA1GC.
I think it was great that we were able to hold a DX meeting with 5 owner role members, JA1ADN, JA1BN, JA1BK, JA1BRK, JA2JW, in attendance.
General meetings, New Year’s parties, year-end parties, etc. will be held at the Minamiyoshida Hall, the British Consulate in Yamate, many shops in Chinatown, Isezaki Town, Yoshida Town, etc.
At times, joint meetings with SDXRC were held at the west exit of Yokohama Station, Kamakura, and New Akao in Atami.
We have even held events at members’ homes.
We are grateful to JJ1LIB for their help in the conference room of Famm’s headquarters, Orivieto in Yamashita Town, and La Porta in Tokaichiba.
Lots of memories such as JH1ECG villa in Zushi Hirozan, JH1APK’s temple, senior meeting at JA1BRK’s house, etc.
We also used online meetings using mailing lists and the online conference software Zoom.

The stations that participated in the preparatory meeting in 1969 were JA1CW, JA1GC, JA1EZL, JH1ECG, JH1JGX, and JH1UNS, and they worked hard to develop the club even after its inauguration.
Unfortunately, JA1CW, JA1GC, and JA1EZL have already passed away.
After the 50th anniversary events, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all those who worked hard to establish the organization.

For a while, the club’s operations became stagnant and it became dormant, but JH1UNS started a mailing list and called out old members, and he was able to restart YDXC, so his contribution is also great.
Also, the achievements of JH1APK, who has been in charge of accounting operations for a long time, and JH1VUO, who has been working as MC for roll calls for a long time, are also great.
I think it’s wonderful that over 50 years have passed thanks to the support of so many other members.
When we started, the main members were in their 20s and 30s, but now, 50 years later, they are in their 70s and 80s.
Unfortunately, 14 members have passed away in the last 50 years.
We hold social gatherings several times a year, such as the general meeting, year-end parties, and New Year’s parties, and I look forward to hearing the speeches of the well-spoken members.
Although there are some members who do not attend the meeting at all, we would like to encourage them to attend and contribute their topics.
In order to revitalize the club, drastic measures may be necessary in the future.

2024年4月から会長に就任しましたJA1FDU 吉沢孝弘 です。
私はYDXCが発足する頃には500ワットのライセンスを得て14McでDXハンティングに熱中しており非常にアクティブだったためYDXC発足時、副会長に推薦され辞退することも叶わず以後しばらく会長をサポートすることになりました。

昨年50周年記念行事が終了した機会に少し過去を振り返ってみたいと思います。（敬称は省略いたします）

YDXCでは昨年10月に延び延びになっていた50周年記念行事としてミクロネシアのチューク島へのDX ペディションを実施し，V6Y　(WW DX SSB CONTEST用)及び　V6SX　を運用しました。同島へのペディションはクラブ設立して数年後の1973年と1974年にも実施しており50年経過した昨年、再度の運用となりました。
1973年と1974年に参加したJH1ECG,JH1JGXの二局が今回のペディションにも参加しましたがYDXC設立準備の段階から現在まで両名がクラブ運営の中心となって活動しておりYDXCにとって最大の功労者です。両名はホームページを開設したり、オンエアミーティングをスタートさせたりアワード作成、YDXCフラッグ作成、統一QSLカード作成、ポロシャツ作成、Tシャツ作成、帽子作成、ネームバッジ作成等々数々のグッズを作成しクラブの活動に活力を与えてくれました。

YDXCでは設立時からの行事を記録しホームページ上にデータベースとして保存してありますが想い出深い行事をいくつかを記しておきます。
磯子の高台にあったプリンスホテルではラスベガスショウ鑑賞ビアミーティングを実施しましたが1975年に開催したDXコンベンション　ヨコハマは当時としては立派な行事で大成功だったと思います。メンバーがそれぞれ役割を分担して頑張りましたが事前準備にJH1ECG,JH1JGX,JA1UQPが特に活躍しました。
そして横浜綜合ハムセンターとオーナーのJA1GCの存在がなければ開催できなかったと思います。JA1ADN,JA1BN,JA1BK,JA1BRK,JA2JW,5名のオーナーロールメンバーに出席いただきDXミーティングを開催できたことも良かったと思います。総会、新年会、忘年会他で南吉田会館をはじめ山手の英国領事館、中華街の多数の店、伊勢佐木町、吉田町、ときには横浜駅西口や鎌倉、また熱海のニューアカオでSDXRCとの合同ミーティングも実施しました。メンバーのお宅で開催したこともありました。
Famm本社の会議室、山下町のオリビエート、十日市場のラポルタではJJ1LIBにお世話になりました。逗子披露山のJH1ECG別荘、JH1APKのお寺さん、JA1BRK宅のシニアミーティング等思い出の数々。 メーリングリストによるオンラインでのミーティングやオンライン会議ソフトZoomも利用しました。

1969年の設立準備の会合に参加したのはJA1CW,JA1GC,JA1EZL,JH1ECG,JH1JGX,JH1UNS,の各局でクラブ発足後もクラブ発展のため尽力されました。
しかし残念ながらJA1CW,JA1GC,JA1EZLはすでに他界されました。

50周年記念の行事が終わった機会に設立に尽力された方々にお礼を申し上げたいと思います。

クラブでは一時期、会の運営が停滞してしまい休眠状態になってしまいましたがJH1UNSがメーリングリストをスタートさせて旧メンバーに呼びかけ、YDXCの再開にこぎつけましたので彼の功績も大です。また長期間にわたって会計業務を担当しているJH1APK、長期間ロールコールのMCを努めているJH1VUOの功績も大です。
その他多くのメンバーに支えられて50年以上経過することができて素晴らしいことだと思います。
スタート時メンバーの主力は20代、30代でしたが50年経過した現在70代、80代の高齢になっています。
残念ながら50年の間には14名のメンバーが他界しています。
総会、忘年会、新年会等で年に数回の懇親会がありますが話上手なメンバーのスピーチを聞くのは楽しみです。
会合に全く出席しないメンバーもいますがぜひ出席して話題を提供していただきたいと思います。
